I bought this a few weeks ago after my Sense just up and quit working. I refused to go back to Fitbit or Google products after they did us wrong. The Forerunner 255S is everything that I have wanted in a tracker/smartwatch. I wasn't planning on loving it to be honest, but I'm obsessed. The features are great! My only complaint is the appearance. I work in a professional setting and it isn't very pretty.

That being said, the quality is beyond amazing and the connectivity compared to Google/fitbit is in a whole other realm. Definitely worth the cost, but I'm glad I didn't go for any of the others because I don't know that I would use any additional features. I love that I have the training, maps, tracking, music, etc.

I bought my new Forerunner 255 a couple of weeks ago, replacing a 235. It has several new features over the 235 that I really like such as tracking sleep, stress levels, HRV status, and Pulse OX. But then Garmin made a couple of changes for the 255 that don't make sense, and they are as follows: for runs and all other activities, I set up my watch to have 4 data fields show on a data screen so I can view 4 data points with one glance at my watch. Unfortunately, the timer data field will no longer show in full size numbers my times beyond one hour. For example, the display won't show 1:02:30 (one hour, two minutes, 30 seconds), instead displaying it as `02:30, where the symbol to the left of 02 is a very, very tiny 1 for one hour, 2 for 2 hours, etc. I like to use compass direction as one of my data fields but the watch can't display direction using letters such as NW or SE, instead it displays degrees for direction, which of course is useless for most of us. My 235 displays these data points correctly as 1:02:30 and NW or SE.

Sofar very satisfied. Still have a lot of features to explore.Battery life sofar,exceptionable.

I'm still learning to manage all the features, but the watch seems to be accurate. I've done a 12 hour ultra, and 4 more runs with it and haven't charged it, because I lost the cord. New one on the way. The only downsides are: when I pause it, all the stats dont stay on the face, they scroll along the top; and I cannot figure an easy way to go back to the watch time feature after I save the run info. There must be a way- I just can't figure it out. BUT it is a great watch

Happy about my purchase. Was looking for a new watch to track everything & happy w/this purchase.

I love running with this watch. Getting music from Spotify was easy. It works well as a smartwatch. It's comfortable, and informative. There are many different faces and colors. You can customize your screens data.

This watches battery lasts a long time. A lot longer then my last watch.

This 255 is my 3rd Forerunner. My last Forerunner was a 235. I am used to the Garmin app and like it. The durability of my past Forerunners has been a problem and this 255 version seems stronger and smarter. We will see how it holds up.

GPS not good some times not work. Need to reload and wait a long time

love all the upgrades music doesn't cut off while running outside and the training readiness is a great tool to see how I'm progressing. and the oled is bright and beautiful to see while im running
