The Raleigh's Militis 2 will allow you to go have more fun and go faster and farther. Over five years ago Raleigh began producing frames with their Direct Connect Carbon process. Steadily and patiently Raleigh has refined, tested and evolved the process to create the lightest, stiffest, most durable race frame available. The use of oversized BB and chainstays to minimize flex and increase power transfer, and thinned seatstays that are vertically compliant and absorb road vibrations.
Utilizing T800-grade High Modulus carbon with high tensile strength, never-twisted fiber Raleigh reduced the amount of material needed in key areas, combined with a Max Internal Compression process the result is an ultra-thin, stiff, and internally smooth tube surface. Using these combined techniques, they were able to substantially reduce the weight, resulting in a 880g frame that sacrifices nothing & maximizes everything.
The Militis has plenty of get-up-and-go to let you fly on group rides, races or just out there jamming with your friends. Add a tapered carbon fork for laser-sharp steering precision, aero wheels with choice Vittoria tires for free speed and a SRAM Force/Rival 20-speed components group for awesome shifting and braking. And long ride or short, the dependable Avenir handlebar, saddle and seatpost are always willing and able. This is a very capable high performance road bike and the ride will show it.
