Good but feels cheap
Still great shoes, but they do not feel like $160 dollar shoes. My husband has been wearing beasts for several years. The quality has gone completely downhill. They feel very cheap now. I wear brooks and love them but have noticed a decrease in quality as well. If you want to charge brooks prices you should keep up with brooks quality.

Narrow Thinking
I've been wearing Brooks Beast and Brooks Addiction Walker shoes for over 10 years. Purchasing has always been a no brainer exercise...I pick the color and size and the shoes arrive and fit without difficulty. Now, however, I've tried almost a dozen different Brooks shoes and none are comfortable. I've compared the new shoes with my older ones and it appears that Brooks has narrowed the toebox. So, after all these years I need to find a new manufacturer.

Shorter lifespan (miles) than expected
This model seems to have a shorter lifespan before breaking down support-wise. I?ve been running exclusively (and happily injury-free) in Brooks Beast for over 10 years, replacing them every 400-500 miles. I?m now on my second set of the 2020 model; by 200-300 miles they?re not holding up. As usual, the shoe is comfortable (as long as it lasts), and the toe-box is perfect... but I?ve come to expect more miles for the shoe than I?ve gotten from the last two pair.

A Step Backwards
Awful shoe with no support. I over pronate and need the support. Lots of cushion but felt like I was walking on bare feet. 2018 was far superior. I do not like the changes.

Very different than previous Beast
Great feeling shoe, but nothing like previous Beasts that I have owned. Much lighter than the past. They feel like Ghosts with a bigger footbed. So far so good. I like the change.

Beast 20's disappointed
So, I've been a Beast Fan Since 2014 and have ordered them every two years. The Beast 18's were a remarkable shoe with great support. When I got the Beast 20's I was kind of disappointed, The support was not as expected. So I noticed that price incentive on the Beast 18's and I ordered another pair. I'll keep the 20's but only as a backup, not my everyday shoe.

Goodbye
I have purchased The Beast loyally for over fifteen years. Every year the design looks uglier, every year the craftsmanship gets less and less, and the durability and quality of the shoe plummets. And every time I purchase it I think, "Well, they seem to be the best shoe out there, so I'll buy them even thought they look worse every year." Not any more. I am done with this shoe. Less than five months old and the sides of the soles are shredding and there are holes starting in the fabric of the foot opening. And the stability and support I remember long ago is nowhere near what it used to be. And to be clear, all I do is walk in these shoes. I am NOT a runner.
So, to wrap this up, I will never buy this shoe again. The Beast '20 is a mere shadow of former Beasts of long ago.

Nice looking and comfortable. I have been wearing the Beast for several years because of the arch support it gave. The new Beast does not have that. I spent $160 and now have to find something else that has arch support that I was getting and still need.

Love the shoes, in fact I?d like to buy a second pair but the color options are terrible.

Observations on the 2020 Beast - likes it.
I'm a 230 lb pronator and have been using the Beast for 10-15 years. I have tried a few others shoes, but this is the only shoe that works for me. It seems similar to the 2018, but the outer edge of the shoe has a rail that makes it a bit stiffer, and that seems to help. There are some changes to the tread patter and sole and it feels a little bit lighter, which helps in a heave show. I also like the look of this years version.
Brooks Beast is my go to for running shoes. I liked the style of this particular shoe, and it was a great savings.
