I'm a ski patroller and am in my gear a lot, in all conditions. This helmet has a nice low profile fit, and you forget it's on. Note, if you try the new MIPS, Smith did not adjust the constructed size of the helmet to accommodate MIPS, they just installed MIPS to the inside of the existing shell - so coming from a non-MIPS Vantage to MIPS, made layering more difficult as the fit is noticeably tighter. I look forward to seeing the mag chin strap connection from Quantum trickle down to these other helmets!

I was really excited about this helmet, followed the sizing chart, and unfortunately the helmet didn't fit. I bought the helmet during a sale and attempted to exchange the helmet. There are no exchange options for size so I reached out to customer service and they were unhelpful/slow to respond to my follow up questions about a promo code (2 weeks for a response). I am really disappointed because I love smith helmets but will probably not continue to buy from them because this has been such a bad customer experience during the holidays.

Awesome helmet! Great fit, ventilation and love the capability to remove the ear pads.

This is a great helmet confortable and light.

This helmet really is as great as everyone says it is! It fits my head like a glove (which I was worried about because I have an oval-shaped head and I've been told that Smith helmets generally fit rounder headshapes better). The charcoal gray is a fab color - a little more exciting than boring black or white, but neutral enough that I won't get tired of it after one season. The vents are awesome too - very user-friendly. Thanks for another great product, Smith!

Awesome helmet! Very comfortable, light weight, and aesthetically sleek. When you start getting warm, just open the vents and you’ll feel the cool air circulating. I didn’t experience any hot spots, so no need to try and break it in. I tried the helmet with and without Mips (due to an order error I was originally sent the helmet without Mips), they fit is same. I couldn’t tell any difference in regard to fit and feel. I’m not completely sold on the level of protection that Mips provides. If you wanted to save a few bucks, buy the helmet without Mips and your nugget will still be safe. I saw an example that demonstrated a 100 foot fall onto rocks, I don’t think it matters what helmet you’re wearing at that point... but that’s just my opinion. Anyway, I digress. Like I said before, great helmet, with or without Mips.

This helmet is comfortable, secure, and just feels like much higher quality than the Giro 10 it replaced. I don't know how to describe that - it just feels solid. It fits well with the 4D Mags.

Going on my third season with this helmet and it's by far the best I've ever owned. Great airflow, warm when needed, and I'm guessing great brain protection but I haven't tested that part yet. I ski hard and hike a lot so my straps have gotten a bit discolored. I wish there was an easy way to disconnect and wash them. Hey Smith, is there?

Ordered mens large as my other smith helmet was large ! This one is a lot smaller fitting ! Not using as it is too small

Fit perfectly out of the box. I was really impressed with the quality and design of the helmet.
