Perfect under helmet clava

I ride with a helmet and only run a balaclava underneath. It's hard to find one that is good for most of the season because often they are too tight, too warm, uncomfortable, etc. This is the perfect weight unless it is absolutely freezing (single digits, etc). I like the hinge for quick and easy face covering/uncovering. Only small issue is the holes in front of the mouth go all the way through. So, if your resort is REALLY strict about face coverings, this may not cut the mustard. Otherwise, this clava is the one you will reach for all season long

Just received it, fit seems great, will have more info once have a it it to use for a day in the backcountry or at work on the mountain at KHMR, with respect to warmth/moisture wicking/breathability

Awesome!

There isn't anything super special about this, but it doesn't need to be special to be an incredible piece of kit. This style of balaclava (where the chin piece is separately attached or hinged onto the main part) stays in place and doesn't get stretched out. I believe Coal has nailed the fabric for a lightweight no fuss balaclava that just works.

Sneaky warm

The storm shadow is a great lightweight balaclava with warmth. It's super thin so wearing it under my helmet is super comfortable. Helps keep me warm and dry while riding.

Storm shadow 11 lightweight balaclava

Great for those slightly chilly days 0 to -5 when you need that extra cover over your face. Lightweight enough to pair with a coal toque for extra warmth.

It?s so great for protecting against the the elements keeping warm and cozy. Works well paired up with a coal toque and goggles.

A lighter and more breathable version of the original

Same great fit as the first version of this balaclava but this model is slightly lighter and more breathable. Fits great and is comfortable with either a beanie or a helmet.
