Our Snowboard Service Offerings Explained
Bindings aren't the only thing we look at during an inspection. Because your board has many parts, like the base, edges, and even your boots, our goal is to give you a full lineup that'll keep you safe, prepared, and stylish even after snow falls.
If you haven't been able to cut those sharp turns or move down your favorite slopes with the same speed, it could be more than just an old board. Bring it into our snowboard shop in Gaithersburg and get a clean drive you can take to any resort or lodge with complete confidence.
You'll find the following personalized services at Sun & Ski Sports Gaithersburg:
Snowboard Waxing
If you know that your upcoming trip has different elevation or weather conditions than your board is used to, our team can match your waxing service to the local snow conditions for enhanced comfort.
Snowboard Mounting
All you need to bring in is your board and your boots to get that perfect fit you need to go higher, stay on the powder longer, and keep your bindings in tip-top shape as the hours outside pass.
Snowboard Tuning
While scratches on your board may seem minor, they can signal deeper base damage that a quick tune can easily resolve. Our tuning service restores a smooth, debris-free base, including edge sharpening and hand waxing.
Please note: Service times may vary depending on the time of day, condition of your snowboard, and store volume. We recommend calling ahead to confirm availability at our Gaithersburg location, especially if you’re on a tight schedule or require same-day service.

Sometimes a rider doesn't know what they need. Maybe they haven't needed frequent repairs in the past, or maybe they just haven't found the right new-board-flow.
