Welcome to Ski + Snowboard Camp
Finding the perfect skis is essential. They’re your trusty companions for powder and ice, your partners in carving lines across the mountain. It’s like finding your soulmate, but with bindings! Your skis should match your riding style and terrain preferences, so you can experience the smoothest, most exhilarating rides possible.
In March 2023, Sun & Ski Sports hosted a legendary event at Solitude Mountain, Utah, bringing together over 100 industry pros for our annual Ski and Snowboard Camp. For two days, we reveled in snow sports heaven, as the hottest brands showcased their 2024 winter collections, from stylish apparel to cutting-edge gear like K2’s BOA ski boot technology.
Day 1 of testing was a dream come true, with clear skies and smooth slopes. With the 2024 skis at our disposal, every turn and carve felt effortless, pushing us to our limits. Day 2 brought powder perfection, as 12 inches of fresh snow transformed the mountain into a winter wonderland. Even in these challenging conditions, the 2024 skis delivered precision and control, making every powder run an exhilarating thrill.
We’ve gathered valuable insights, results, and maintenance tips to help you shred like a pro this winter. Stay tuned for our exclusive knowledge!
Ski Trifecta: Performance + Versatility + Comfort
We thoroughly enjoyed testing over 20 pairs of skis, focusing on overall performance. We considered aspects such as stability, edge control, and responsiveness to ensure that the skis would be reliable and maneuverable in any terrain.
We weren’t just looking for a one-trick pony, you know? We needed skis that could conquer any fantastic challenge the mountain presented to us. Whether it was the perfectly groomed corduroy runs, the unspoiled powder stashes, or the exciting playgrounds of freestyle parks – we skied them all. Versatility was a non-negotiable factor when choosing our ideal skis. And let’s not forget about comfort! Those long days on the slopes demand gear as comfortable as your favorite oversized sweater. We paid close attention to details like binding compatibility, the ski’s flex, and how they felt underfoot.
After we’d elegantly carved our way through pristine groomers, glided through fresh powder, and mastered the terrain parks, we thoughtfully selected our top 5 all-mountain skis, catering to both male and female-specific skis!
