All About Our Ski Services
If you’re wondering what makes Sun & Ski Sports in Hanover the go-to spot for skiers, here’s the inside scoop. We don’t just sell top-quality ski gear; we help you keep it performing like new. Our local Outdoor Experts know what it takes to handle New England conditions and are always happy to walk you through every step of our services. Here’s what you can expect when you bring your skis in for professional care.
Ski Waxing
A great day on the mountain starts with a smooth glide. Our ski waxing services help protect your bases and keep your skis running fast and consistent across changing snow conditions. Choose a quick, even belt wax for general performance or a custom hand wax matched to your terrain and temperature. Regular waxing not only gives you faster runs and smoother turns but also helps extend the life of your skis season after season.
Ski Tuning
After a few trips up the mountain, your skis can lose their edge, both literally and in performance. Our ski tuning services bring them back to life. We inspect the base and edges for wear, smooth out any dents, sharpen every edge, and finish with a belt wax for a perfect glide. If you choose our Performance Ski Tune-Up, we also test and fine-tune your bindings for complete control and confidence. When we’re done, your skis will feel fast, smooth, and ready to carve every turn.
Ski Mounting
Your bindings are the key to control, balance, and safety on the slopes. Our ski mounting services make sure they are dialed in just right. We mount, test, and adjust your bindings to fit your exact boot size, age, height, weight, and skiing style, whether you enjoy alpine runs, downhill carving, or cross-country adventures. Every setup is precision-calibrated for safe, secure performance and easy release when you need it most.
Please note: Our service times may vary depending on our ski shop's availability. We may even provide same-day services, but please call before coming to our Hanover ski shop to confirm. Our Outdoor Experts will do their best to make sure your ski equipment is ready when you need it.
