The Shimano SM-SH51 SPD Cleats work seamlessly with any SPD / 2-hole clip-in pedal. You will notice how new cleats increase your stability and cadence on the bike, allowing you to generate power not only when you push down, but when you pull up as well. They have four degrees of float to allow your foot to find its natural position while pedaling. This forgiving play is helpful if you have stiffness in your joints or are new to the cleat set-up. Easily clip out from the pedal by simply swinging your heel outwards from the bike. Cold-forged and heat-treated, these SPD / 2-hole clip-in cleats are durable, with consistent performance. They are compatible with SPD / 2-hole cleat compatible shoes. Cleats naturally wear out over time. Replacing your cleats when it becomes difficult to release your shoe from the pedal or when it releases prematurely will improve your pedaling performance and connection. **Note: These cleats only release when the heel is twisted OUTWARD. They will not release if the heel is twisted in any other direction.
