Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
The bindings are nice to be free'd from the rail system or piston binding system marker has always had. They seem to be pretty beefy.
One con is I have had the toes release on crashes, even cranked to 13. The wrecks were not too bad. If you want to always stay in except for the most heinous crash, I would recommend keeping em at 15. Great plus is that they go to 16!
