Had great expectations for this boot. It fits well and provides good stability and is comfortable. However, after half day of skiing in dry conditions found that the boot leaks at the toe buckle. This is a design flaw - pure and simple. Salomon attempted to provide a sleek look rather than the classic squared-off seam at the toe, but there is a flimsy attempt at a gasket that simply doesn't work. Buckling down loosely as recommended by the shop where I bought the boots didn't stop the flow of melting snow that gets caught at the "gasket". Buckling down tightly didn't do the trick either. The shop is going to try some silicone caulk under the seam to get me through the season, but then the boots are going back to Salomon under warranty. Others on the web have reported using plastic bags around the liner, duct tape on top, etc., but why should anyone pay $400+ for a ski boot and then have to go through this nonsense? Not I.
