I use these boots every day. I really like them. In fact I just got my second pair and the old ones are only about 2 months old. The old ones are great and nothing is wrong with them.I just wanted another pair to have on hand.I hit the toe of the first pair with the blade of a reciprocating saw and the blade did nothing to the boots.Didn't even scratch the boots.I found these boots rated in the worlds top 10.Best hiking boots I ever had. I found them to be water proof, mud proof, even my pet wolves could not hurt these boots, and they did chew on the boot toe a little.I don't slide in the mud, or wet grass, or on rocks,don't slide walking in the snow, slide a little on the ice.I still wish they had a removable insole. All in all these are great hiking boots well worth the price.

Stynger GTX hiking boots seem to be well made and should last a long time.I am hard on hiking boots, so only time will tell.These will take some break-in time. The top of the boots around the ankles are stiff and cause a little discomfort, but that should go away during break-in.The boots would be nicer with a removable in-sole and a little more in-sole padding. All in all I think a very good hiking boot.I would and have recommended these boots to friends.
