Comments about Vibram Vibram Women's Five Fingers Sprint:

Oh my. After hearing all the pros about the Vibram Sprint, I truly wish they would have worked on my feet. I would have loved to trial them on the great outdoors/trails, rocks, you name it! Unfortunately, I can't recommend these shoes, AT ALL, if you've ever had any sort of toe injury/broken toe bones, anything like that. I put the shoes on, tip toed and walked a couple steps, hopped from one foot to the other and then did a little squat… standard squat. Nothing major and "poof" , the shoes tweaked the living bejeeziz out of my (previously-broken-several-times) toe. So much for that. I think the sole was too rigid around my previously broken toe and forced it to go in an un-natural direction (for that toe)

I would consider myself an active-foot person, barefoot almost 50% of the time, even in the great-outdoors, am by no means a tenderfoot and actively engage daily in yoga and dance and have a great range in toe articulation, if you may. So, I was really REALLY looking forward to wearing the Sprints.

I've heard nothing but good things about these shoes and they seem really popular. I'm sure they are great shoes for those with somewhat perfect feet/toes or those not used to being barefoot. However, if you've previously been engaged in balance-related activities and/or have been tremendously hard on your feet at some point in your life (dance/skating/gymnastics even…), these may not be the best shoes for you.

I gradually switched from my running sneakers to VFF sprints. They are great, its like running barefoot with a layer to protect my feet from the all the surfaces I run on.
