I walked around the house for an hour and then easily ran three miles on the treadmill in them with complete comfort. They probably should have at least two toe sizes - long and short (I have longer toes) at each foot/shoe size - so I had to get a slightly larger size and lash it back at the heal to accomodate my longer toes. I really like the way the vibraum covers the front of the toes to give extra security/tactile sense. I have more "proprioception" and could tell that I was running more gently, with way less impact. My wife said that they were ugly, but I may force her to buy a pair just to see how she evaluates them because she doesn't have much luck with running shoes (her knees hurt) and these are so radically different than anything else I've tried (Mizuno Wave Alchemy, Saucony Grid Stabil, Avia, Nike Free).
