Although you must secure your road bike using the back tire this rack is the the bomb. YOu don't have to take the wheel off and if you have a D-ring on your truck you can secure it using your bike lock. I recommend you buy a chain to secure you bike to the insta-gater which in turn can be secured to the D-Ring bolted down on the bed of your truck.

The Insta-Gater works great in the bed of my Toyota Tacoma. It is super easy to install and holds the bike up great, Very stable. My ONLY concern is that it doesnt lock to my truck, but if you have a locking tailgate it will be just fine. All in all, I love the simplicity of it. I have already recommended it to a friend.
