3 Person / 3-Season Tent

The three-person Antares uses Reverse Combi Technology to maximize interior space, but with two doors and vestibules to easily house gear and bodies. Variable-diameter DAC NSL Featherlite poles create more room on the inside, while the 70-denier tent fly guarantees years of long-standing use. A custom dual-slider zipper configuration allows separate vestibules over each door, making the Antares comfortable and livable for three people. Tent Guard with Ultra Fresh protects the tent's floor and body from mold or mildew; while details like reflective guy outs, color-coded webbing, Clip Locs and Swift Clips push function to the limit.

Comments about Sierra Designs Sierra Designs Antares 3P Tent:

This 2007 Sierra Designs Antares I believe is just a bit better than the 2008 model because the only thing I can see different is that there is a 3000mm layer of protection on the floor versus 1800mm for the 2008 model.Again, you'll pay more for the 2008 model than the 2007 model which Sun and Ski sells. They did not purchase the 2008 model from Sierra Designs in 2008. I bought it right away when I heard it was the 2007. [...]I went to a store competitor and had them put up the Sierra Design Tengu3 (took 5 of us including the 2 employees to try to put this up but to no avail - I wouldn't buy it[$]), the ASP 3,and the Alpha too. One guy who helped put it up bought the Antares without reservation for the full MSRP. It was the 2007 model too. He probably didn't care how much he paid - he wanted it when we went through all the other tents. This was the first time I bought something from Sun and Ski and it was online. I tried to find something on its rating but didn't find anything disturbing. The delivery was on time with free shipping and the packaging was excellent because it was put in a box and sealed tight. The best thing is that the Antares comes with the footprint (usually you would need to buy this seperately for about $35-$45) and also there is an attic that is already attached (can be removed) inside the tent. [$] I don't think I would want to use these because it seems like they will not keep your mug from swinging or spilling over inside the tent. Not too many people will even need to use the instructions to put this one up if you've put up tents before. It took 2 people only 2 minutes - including laying the tent out, setting up the poles and hooking the hooks on the pole, and also the third short pole was hooked on- to put it up.Don't know how it would hold up in wind and rain. But if anybody has that information, please include it in your review. I'm not going to use this in the rain.[...]
