I found a way to use straps to attach on the outside my Bivy Sack (2 lbs) and my Sleeping Bag. Used straps for the bag and put the sack in the outer compartment. So there is considerable room inside then, maybe enough for week long trips, will find out. Have not used it yet, but it seems to have a good fit and to be made well. Large frame was too big so I had to return it for a medium.
