It is made out of a tough, flexible polycarbonate and it fits roof curvatures. Its soft foam pads rest on the roof. It quickly installs to round bars. 44" fairing works great on my 01 Jetta. Easy to install. Works great, reduces wind noise a lot. Very happy with that. I'm not a big fan of logos and the "Yakima" is painted versus a sticker which then I could've have removed it. I could've put the fairing on reverse though. Comes with litle pads and clear stickers so the fairing doesn't scratch the car. Very cool also! Minus my little quirk with stickers this is a great product.
