As you know there are a lot of retailers opening their doors on Thanksgiving Day. We have elected not to follow that trend. WE BELIEVE THAT THIS IS A DAY OF CELEBRATION WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

This means that none of our stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day.

Do I wear shoes to wakeskate?

Before you hit the water with your wakeskate, you need to decide what to wear. Keep these tips in mind when selecting your wakeskate gear:

  • Body: Consider water shirts with SPF if you and your friends plan to spend a sunny afternoon with wakeskate boards. Some wakeskate shirts also serve as rashguards. For example, the Hurley Men’s One and Only short-sleeved rashguard features antimicrobial stretch Lycra with flatlock seams for comfort.
  • Feet: Some wakeskaters choose to go barefoot on their wakeskate boards, while others prefer water shoes or other shoes designed for wakeskating. The benefits of water shoes include better traction and water drainage. However, you can still perform wakeskate tricks whether or not you choose to wear shoes. By contrast, most people who wakesurf choose to go barefoot.

Visit your local Sun & Ski Sports shop for expert advice and a wide selection of wakeskate clothing and gear.
