As you know there are a lot of retailers opening their doors on Thanksgiving Day. We have elected not to follow that trend. WE BELIEVE THAT THIS IS A DAY OF CELEBRATION WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

This means that none of our stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day.

How do I know which kayaks and paddles go together?

Paddles are the most important kayak accessories, and choosing your paddle deserves as much time and attention as choosing your kayak.

Most kayak paddles range from 220 cm to 255 cm. When choosing a paddle or other kayak accessories, remember that one size does not fit all. Here are some sizing guidelines to get you started. Kayak paddles can be placed in three categories:

  • Short: Shorter paddlers might prefer paddles on the small end of the scale (220 cm).
  • Medium: Average-sized kayakers will probably be happy with paddles in the 230-cm range.
  • Long: Taller individuals, or anyone with a wider boat, should check out kayak paddles in the 240-cm range. Keep in mind that tandem kayaks will need longer paddles.
  • Kids: If you have a child’s kayak, be sure to get a kid’s paddle suitable for small hands.

Try out kayak accessories whenever possible to help you decide which kayaks and paddles feel right to you.
