Snow Sports Pants
Ski and Snowboarding pants often will take care of the laying issue, all with one pair of pants. A good pair of snow pants will include an inner layer that wicks away moisture, a mid-layer that moves it towards the surface, and a breathable outer layer that lets moisture out but keeps heat in.
When it is extremely cold, most skiers will add their own, additional base layer to provide more warmth. Likewise, spring skiing often only requires a thin outer shell over a base layer to keep you dry and plenty warm.

Keep in mind that extra padding and extra-tough stitching on your snow pants and ski pants is well worth the additional cost. Cold weather gear takes a beating, and cheap brands are unlikely to make it through a hard season without tearing apart.
