The Shimano Men's SH-M162 MTB Cycling Shoe is designed for the aggressive trail rider, or ever-growing all-mountain category of rider who attacks descents with the same ferocity as a dowhiller, but likes to climb up the mountain too. The tough synthetic leather upper has armored protection built in to provide awesome durability.
The rubber outsole with optional spike mounts provide excellent grip over varied terrain. Cyclocrossers will love running in this shoe thanks to the extra grippy sole. A carbon reinforced polyamid shank plate adds rigidity while keeping the sole comfortable enough to hike in.
The volume plus last is built to accommodate riders with wider feet, but still fits a large percent of the population. A micro-adjust buckle cinches the upper down around the ankle and two off-set Velcro straps secure the midfoot while preventing hot spots. A comfortable, shock absorbing EVA cushioned insole takes some of the sting off your feet when you're plowing through a rock garden.
