The 2011 Salomon Men's Shogun Big Mountain Ski Boots is a stiffer narrower boot with 100mm flex and 98mm last freeride specific boot that is a little less burly and a little easier to put on than the Ghost.
The Shogun big mountain ski boot offers a few different types of adjustments and technologies such as the world cup advanced shell technology is designed to transfer the maximum amount of power from the skier to the ski. While the double dismantable canting enables cuff alignment to the skier's lower leg shape and better adaptation allowing easier work on the cuff while the dismantable flex rivet offers two rivets to lock the cuff to give more energy and rigidity to the boot that are removable to soften the boot. While the 3D buckle gives you 3 different positions of the instep buckle for maximum customization and two micro alu over sized buckles provide perfect pressure distribution and powerful heel lock allowing the foot to drive the boot and not be trapped inside.
While on the inside the Shogun is equipped with the custom fit race liner that maximizes customization with 3 compact layers of thermoformable foam on the ankle, heel, meta and tongue for perfect transmission and a sensitive soft sole under your metatarsals gives great fore foot sensitivity. The liner is leather-textured for pure sensations and foot envelopment with sealed seams and 100% waterproofing.
