gets the job done July 5, 2011
Reviewer: Sam the Skater from Lititz, PA
I just began training for Roller Derby and was told that these are great skates for beginners. I was told that the plastic plates would most likely need replaced eventually if you are over 150 pounds, but for now they are working fine. I've noticed that the toe stops weren't very tight but the skates come with a tool to fix that. Also my wheels were very loose and the trusses are too tight. The wheels were a quick fix to tighten them and the trusses I am told can be slightly loosened after I break them in for about 2 weeks. Basically if you are clueless about skating but you have some people who can help you along with these skates they're a great buy! Also as far as wearing quickly this is happening in the toe area, a toe guard can be purchased for about [$] at most skating rinks. I bought these skates knowing that they are able to be "pimped" out and upgraded to my needs in the future.
