The Rossignol Axial2 120 Ti Pro ski binding is one of Rossignol's most popular for use with high performance skis. The Axial and FKS binding has been redesigned for 2006. The heel piece's lateral arms are angled down to apply greater pressure to the edge of the ski. This creates more power going directly from skier to ski with less energy loss. The bindings forward pressure has been increased 30%, which dramatically enhances the interface between boot and binding. The increase of pressure influences ski behavior, which improves rebound and responsiveness.

As a result, energy loss is minimized, and the binding itself becomes a performance-enhancing tool

Compared to many other bindings, Axial� enjoys a reduced mounting zone, which provides greater ski flex for enhanced edge contact with the snow
Seven points of contact between the boot and the binding offer precise turn initiation and powerful edge grip
Axial heel piece pivots under the tibial axis and helps guide the boot as it exits the binding during release
Heel piece provides 25mm of elastic travel, greatly reducing the likelihood of inadvertent release; also helps absorb vibration
Enhanced torsional stiffness reduces play between boot and binding, providing superior edge control and responsiveness
Reinforced Dual Action III toe is durable and enhances torsional rigidity for edge control while maintaining multi-directional release capability
80mm wide brakes accommodate modern powder ski and twin tip ski widths
