Description Technical Specs
The Petzl AM'D Screw-lock Carabiner is a D-shaped carabiner for connecting devices on harnesses. The shape and size of this carabiner makes it great for most uses, from connecting a belay device to your harness or as a connector at the end of a lanyard. The D-shape makes it one of the strongest and lightest locking carabiners Petzl makes.

The manual locking SCREW-LOCK system on this carabiner is recommended for dirty and dusty environments that can cause autolocking carabiner mechanisms to malfunction, it also features a red band indicator to show carabiner is unlocked, providing a quick visual safety check. The Petzl Keylock system has no notch to snag slings, gear, etc., clipping and unclipping is effortless.

When you pick up a Petzl carabiner, you can feel the high level of quality and fine craftsmanship that goes into each one… refined design, smooth gate action and a polished finish. Even after years of hard use, they still operate as smoothly as they did on their first day.

  • D-shape has the highest strength-to-weight ratio of all carabiner designs
  • Keylock system
  • Manual locking SCREW-LOCK system
  • Perfectly suited for use with belay devices due to its symmetric shape on both ends of the carabiner
