As you know there are a lot of retailers opening their doors on Thanksgiving Day. We have elected not to follow that trend. WE BELIEVE THAT THIS IS A DAY OF CELEBRATION WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

This means that none of our stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day.

When do I need the lightest sleeping mat?

You’ll enjoy your outdoor evenings much more if you have the right sleeping mats to pair with your hiking sleeping bag or lightweight sleeping bag. Sleeping mats provide insulation between your sleeping bag and the ground, and they can make the difference between a night of comfort and a night of tossing and turning. Fortunately, sleeping mats are available in sizes and styles for all your camping needs.

When you are selecting sleeping mats, keep these points in mind:

  • Location: Where will you be using the sleeping mats? If you will be sleeping on a concrete floor, it will be colder than a wood floor, and you might want a thicker mat.
  • Travel: If you will be carrying sleeping mats, in addition to a hiking sleeping bag, look for the lightest choices.
  • Physical factors: If you know you will be tired at the end of the day, or if you have circulation problems, you might be more susceptible to cold, and a thicker sleeping mat might be worth the weight.

Visit your local Sun & Ski Sports shop for a variety of sleeping mats.
